Landing page

A landing page is a single page built for one offer or campaign, designed so the visitor has exactly one action to take — book, call, buy, sign up. Everything on it points at that action: no navigation maze, no competing links, no polite chit-chat. It is the conversion specialist of web pages.

What makes it a landing page

The single offer and the single action. A landing page removes the exits: no menu to wander off through, no "also see" sidebar. It answers the one question the visitor arrived with and puts the next step within reach, above the fold, on a phone.

Landing page vs home page

A home page is a map of the whole business; a landing page is one room with one door out. The home page serves many intents; the landing page serves one. Sending paid traffic to a home page is the classic mistake — the visitor brought a specific question and met a menu.

What it costs

A landing page is a small build: one page, one offer, one enquiry route. It is quoted like any other page — one fixed price, agreed in writing — and our 2026 market research puts single pages from budget studios and freelancers at roughly $300–$2,500. See what a one-page website costs.

How you tell it worked

By the action: calls, bookings, emails, sign-ups — the conversion rate against the traffic the campaign sent. A landing page that ranks for its offer but converts nothing is a design problem, not a traffic problem.

Questions

Does a landing page need its own domain?

No. It can live on your main domain at its own address (yourbusiness.com/offer), which is usually better: it inherits the domain's trust and links back to the rest of the site. Separate domains are for separate brands.

How is a landing page different from a one-page website?

A one-page website is a whole site compressed to one page — several sections, several intents. A landing page is narrower: one offer, one action, often built for a campaign. The one-page site introduces the business; the landing page closes the sale.
