Conversion rate
Conversion rate is the share of visitors who take the action a page exists for — calling, booking, emailing, buying. It is the number that connects web design to money: two sites can have identical traffic, and the one with the clearer enquiry route converts more of it.

What counts as a conversion
Whatever the page was built to produce: a phone call, a booking, a completed form, a purchase, a sign-up. Define it before judging the site — a page without a defined conversion has no measurable job at all.
What moves it
- The action is obvious and within a thumb's reach on a phone.
- The page answers the visitor's real questions first — price, area, availability.
- Trust is earned where the decision happens: what you do, what it costs, what happens next.
- Nothing blocks the route: forms that deliver, buttons that work, pages that load fast.
What it does not tell you
Quality. A high conversion rate from the wrong visitors — people who cannot afford the job or live outside the service area — is noise. The pairing that matters: the right traffic (Search Console queries) converting at a real rate into the right enquiries.
How we design for it
Every build starts from the conversion: what the visitor wants, what the business needs, and the shortest honest route between them. Then the route is wired properly — enquiries stored before anything is emailed, bookings confirmed, payments reconciled. See integrations.
Questions
What is a good conversion rate?
It depends on the action and the traffic. A trades site converting 5–10% of visitors into calls is strong; an e-commerce site may celebrate 2%. The useful comparison is your own rate over time, and your rate against your defined action — not an industry average.
How do I raise my conversion rate?
Start with the obvious: is the action visible on a phone, does the page answer price and availability early, and do the forms actually deliver? Most small-business gains come from those repairs, not from a redesign. Our repair service inspects exactly this.
