Five steps from brief to handover.

Our website design process runs in five steps: you describe the business, we come back with one written scope and one fixed price, you approve a private preview, and we launch and hand over every account and password. Simple sites take days; larger builds carry a delivery date in the quote.

Reviewed October 6, 2026. Prices are quoted per project; nothing on this page is a published price list.

The short answer

Five steps. One price in writing. A preview before launch. Nothing built until you approve the quote.

You describe the business, we agree the scope and price in writing, you try a private preview and tell us what to change, then we launch and hand over the keys. Nothing is charged and nothing is built until you say go.

Step 1 — The brief

You describe what the business does, who buys from it, and what the site must do. Rough lines are plenty — we would rather start from a napkin sketch than a blank brief. We ask our questions in one batch, not dripped through the build, because missing content delays a project far more than missing code.

Step 2 — The written scope

You get one scope, one fixed price and one delivery date, in writing, before you pay anything. The quote sets out the revision allowance and the payment structure: a deposit before work starts, the balance at handover. The quote document is the contract — if it is not in the quote, it is not in the price.

Step 3 — The design

The design is agreed against a reference you approve — not a template with your logo dropped in. Pages are written to load fast on a phone and to work without JavaScript, with the enquiry route your customers actually use: form, click-to-call, booking or email link.

Step 4 — The private preview

Before anything is public, you get a private preview link. Tell us what to change; revisions inside the agreed scope are included in the price, not billed by the hour. You approve the preview, and only then does anything go live.

Step 5 — Launch and handover

We launch, set up the domain and email in your name, and hand over a document that lists every account, password and file. We keep no spare key: the site, the hosting and the addresses are yours from day one, and another developer can pick the source up without us.

How long the five steps take

Simple sites take days. Larger builds depend on their scope, and every quote carries an expected delivery date. Most of the elapsed time is content and approvals rather than development — the faster you can answer questions and approve the preview, the faster it ships. Have a date in mind (a launch, a season, an event)? Say so in the brief and we confirm the date before you commit.

What we ask of you

A few hours in total for most small sites: one conversation about the business, one review of the design, and one pass through the preview before launch. We ask for everything we need in one request, and we tell you what we need it for.

Questions

Do I need to be technical to work with you?

No. You describe the business and what the site must do; we handle the code, the launch and the handover. If you are comfortable in code you can edit the site yourself afterwards — if not, edits are quoted as small fixed-price pieces, or we add a simple editor for the parts that change often.

What if I do not know what I want yet?

That is normal, and the brief does not need to answer everything. Send rough lines and we come back with questions in one batch, then a written scope. Plenty of our builds start from "we need a site that gets us calls" — the process exists to turn that into a price and a date.

Can I see the site before it goes live?

Yes — every build gets a private preview link before launch, and revisions inside the agreed scope are included. Nothing goes public until you approve the preview.

Can you work to a deadline?

Often, yes — a launch date, a season or an event. Say the date when you send the brief and we confirm we can hit it before you commit, so the deadline is in the quote rather than discovered later.

How much of my time will it take?

A few hours in total for most small sites: one conversation, one design review, one pass through the preview. We ask for the material we need in one request rather than dripping questions through the build.

Tell us what you need. Send a few rough lines and we will come back with a scope, a fixed price and a delivery date in writing.
