Bob's Plumbing: a trades site that gets the phone ringing.

Bob's Plumbing is a demo build made by Firmitas to show a local services site. The job is different from a restaurant: most visitors arrive on a phone, in a hurry, with one problem, and the only conversion that matters is a call or a message with enough detail to quote.

Reviewed September 20, 2026. Prices are quoted per project; nothing on this page is a published price list.

The brief we set ourselves

Local trade sites often hide everything behind a generic "contact us". We wanted the opposite: the services listed in the words customers use, prices explained honestly, and a call button that is always a thumb away.

What was built

What it does for the business

It filters enquiries before they cost you a call-out: the form collects the detail, so the first conversation is about the price rather than about the problem. It also gives the work something to point at instead of a Facebook page.

What we would change for a real client

Real trades businesses live on reviews and local map results, so a client build would carry verified reviews and a properly maintained business profile with one consistent name, address and phone number everywhere. We would also connect the form to their actual job-management tool.

Questions

Is Bob's Plumbing a real client?

No. It is a demo build made by Firmitas to show the approach. We label it as a demo everywhere it appears, including in the files search engines read.

Could a site like this be built for my business?

Yes, with your content and your actual requirements. The demo shows the shape of the work; a real project starts with a scope and a fixed price in writing, and the copy, photography and features are yours.

Tell us what you need. Send a few rough lines and we will come back with a scope, a fixed price and a delivery date in writing.
