What is a website care plan?

A care plan is a fixed monthly amount that keeps a live website healthy: uptime and domain-expiry monitoring, security and content updates, and — on the two higher plans — a measured allowance of new work each month. Ours run $45–$159 a month with no contract, and the allowance is written down so the ceiling is real.

Reviewed October 6, 2026. Care plans are the one published price: Harbor $45, Voyage $119, Flagship $159 a month at /care-plans. Builds are quoted per project.

The short answer

Instead of quoting each repair and update separately, a care plan bundles the upkeep: monitoring that catches an expired domain or a down site before your customers do, monthly security and content updates, and email support. The two higher plans add a hard-capped allowance of new work, so a month's spending has a written ceiling.

The three plans

Harbor, $45 a month: uptime, SSL and domain-expiry monitoring, monthly security and content updates, email support. Voyage, $119: Harbor plus one hard-capped page or article per month, a monthly analytics readout and a two-day turnaround. Flagship, $159: Voyage plus integration upkeep, fair-use edits and a quarterly strategy call. Every plan states what is included, and extra human work is $40 an hour, quoted before it starts.

What is never included

Unlimited work (the allowance is a cap, in writing), your domain and hosting fees (those go to the providers, in your name), and SEO retainers — we scope SEO as fixed pieces, not a monthly meter. A care plan is also never a condition of a build.

Care plan or one-off build?

Different jobs, not two prices for one. A build is paid once and owned outright; a plan is monthly upkeep. Most clients do both: the build first, then a plan once the site is live — and we will tell you honestly if the plan is not worth it for your site.

Start, pause, cancel

At any month boundary, with no contract and no exit fee. The allowance does not roll over, because it is a ceiling, not a bank account — if you do not use it, you have not lost money, you have had a quiet month.

Questions

How much does a care plan cost?

Harbor is $45 a month, Voyage is $119 and Flagship is $159. Every plan states what is included, and extra human work is $40 an hour, quoted before it starts. There is no contract — start, pause or cancel at any month boundary.

Do I need a care plan after my build?

No. Every build stands on its own and you own it outright. A care plan is worth it when you would rather have monitoring and a monthly allowance of updates than quote each piece separately — and we will tell you honestly which side of that line you are on.

Why are the caps in writing?

Because an unwritten "unlimited" is always limited somewhere. Our plans state exactly how much new work each month includes, so the most you can be billed in a month is a number you saw before you joined — not a surprise at the end of it.
