Can I move my website off Wix, Squarespace or WordPress?

Yes. You keep your domain name, text, images and URL structure, and we rebuild the pages as clean, hand-coded HTML and CSS in accounts you own. Hosted builders like Wix and Squarespace do not let you export a working site design, so moving off them is a rebuild with 301 redirects to protect your search traffic.

The short answer

You are never trapped on a platform if you control your domain name. While Wix and Squarespace lock the template code inside their subscription, your business name, domain address, written copy, photographs and search history can all move to a site you own outright.

What transfers directly and what gets rebuilt

How we protect your Google rankings during the move

Rankings drop during a migration only when URLs break or page titles and content disappear. Before switching the domain over, we map every existing URL on your old site: pages that keep the same address resolve seamlessly, and any address that changes gets a permanent 301 redirect to its new equivalent.

How the switchover happens

We build and test the new site on a private preview link while your old Wix, Squarespace or WordPress site stays live. Once you approve the preview, we update the DNS records, verify HTTPS and forms, and only then do you cancel the old platform subscription. Zero downtime.

Questions

Will my email stop working when I leave Wix or Squarespace?

No. We check your MX and DNS records before touching anything so your Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 or custom domain email continues delivering without interruption.

Can I transfer a domain I bought inside Wix or Squarespace?

Yes. ICANN rules require registrars to let you unlock your domain and request an EPP transfer code, or you can simply point the domain's DNS records to your new hosting account.

Is moving off a builder worth the rebuild cost?

If you are paying $40–$120 a month for a slow site or add-ons you barely use, the rebuild usually pays for itself within one to two years, and you own the source files permanently afterwards.
